Jean-François Labrie détient un diplôme d'ingénieur en électricité de l'Université Laval complété par un certificat en économie ainsi qu'une maîtrise en ingénierie financière. Ayant travaillé dans le secteur des analyses minérales pendant 7 ans, il a été témoin de l'impact de la variation des prix des matières premières sur ceux qui les consomment et sur ceux qui les produisent. Jean-François est au fait des défis que représente le travail dans une multinationale de 300,000 employés aussi bien que des défis que doit relever une entreprise de 30 employés. Il est présentement chargé de cours en finance à l'Université Laval et candidat au deuxième examen CFA en vue d'obtenir le titre de Chartered Financial Analyst.
