Jacques de GUISE détient un baccalauréat en génie électrique (1977) et un doctorat en génie biomédical (1984) de l’École Polytechnique de Montréal. Il est professeur titulaire au département de Génie des systèmes de l’École de Technologie Supérieure (ÉTS) et professeur associé au département de chirurgie de la faculté de médecine de l'Université de Montréal. Il est titulaire de la Chaire de recherche du Canada en imagerie 3D et ingénierie biomédicale et de la Chaire Marie-Lou et Yves Cotrel de recherche en orthopédie du département de chirurgie de la Faculté de médecine de l’Université de Montréal. Il est le directeur/fondateur du Laboratoire de recherche en imagerie et orthopédie (LIO) de l’ÉTS et du Centre de recherche du Centre Hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal (CRCHUM). Il est responsable de l’Axe Imagerie et Ingénierie et directeur de la Plateforme d’imagerie expérimentale du CRCHUM. Ses travaux de recherche portent sur l’imagerie et la modélisation morpho fonctionnelle des structures biologiques, ainsi que sur le développement de méthodes d’intervention thérapeutique guidée par les images et les modèles.
